Get your residence in Spain
You can register if you hold EU, EEA or Swiss nationality and intend to stay in Spain for more than three months. We regularly register:
01
Retirees and pensioners settling on the Costa Blanca
European pensioners who move to Spain for a calmer life and need their residency sorted without the back and forth.
02
Remote workers and self-employed EU professionals
EU nationals working remotely or running their own activity in Spain who need to be on the register to work and invoice with peace of mind.
03
Students enrolled in Spain
EU students who need to register during a course or exchange longer than three months.
04
Non-working residents with their own means
Those living in Spain on their own resources, with private or public health cover, who want everything in order from the start.
05
British and other dual nationals with an EU passport
If you hold an Irish or another EU passport, we register you as an EU citizen on that passport, with none of the steps non-EU residents have to take.

Why trust Advisors Costa Blanca for your residency in Spain
We check every document before you ever set foot in an appointment, which is where most registrations are delayed or turned away.

yannelsis soto peña
Your residency is handled by people who understand it
Your registration is led by Yannelsis Soto Peña, a qualified gestora administrativa colegiada with a Master's in Gestoría Administrativa from the Universidad Católica de Valencia, specialised in immigration. She has worked in extranjería at Advisors Costa Blanca since 2019.
Yannelsis arrived in Spain as a teenager and went through the residency process herself, so she knows what it feels like from the other side of the desk. That is the difference between a form filled in and a case understood.
special cases
Special situations we handle
EU family members who are not EU citizens
If your spouse, partner or child does not hold EU nationality, they follow a different route and need the residence card for family members of an EU citizen. We look after that application as well, so the whole family is covered.
Living in Spain for more than five years
After five continuous years you can move to permanent registration. If you are reaching that point, we can review your situation and prepare the step.
questions
FAQs of the EU residence permit in Spain
Do EU citizens really need to register in Spain?
Yes. If you stay longer than three months you are required to register, and the green certificate is your proof of legal residence in Spain.
I am British but I hold an Irish or EU passport, can you help?
Yes. We register you as an EU citizen on your EU passport, which keeps your process simple and avoids the TIE route that applies to non-EU citizens.
Do I have to apply in person?
The appointment itself is in person, but we handle everything up to that point and prepare your file. Much of the process is done online or at our office.
How long does it take?
In many cases the certificate is issued at the appointment itself. The main variable is appointment availability, which is why we take care of booking it as early as possible.
Do you also arrange the padrón and NIE?
Yes. We coordinate your padrón when you need it, and your NIE is included in the registration certificate. We can also arrange your SIP card and digital certificate.
