About Digital Nomad Visa

Is the Spanish Digital Nomad Visa right for you?

The Digital Nomad Visa allows non-EU professionals to live in Spain while working remotely for companies or clients based mainly outside the country.

Your eligibility depends on how you work, who pays you, how long the professional relationship has existed and whether your income and experience meet the current requirements.

01

Remote employees

You work for a company outside Spain that allows you to continue your job remotely after moving.

02

Freelancers and consultants

You provide remote services to foreign companies through contracts that can be clearly documented.

03

Founders and company owners

You own or manage a foreign business and can prove its activity, your role and the income you receive.

If your work arrangement does not fit these profiles, another residence route may be more appropriate. We review this before you begin collecting documents or planning your application.

Requirements

Digital Nomad Visa requirements in Spain

The Digital Nomad Visa is designed for people whose work can genuinely be carried out online from Spain. Earning enough money is important, but your professional relationship, qualifications and supporting documents must also meet the requirements.

01

Your remote work must be connected to a foreign business

You must work remotely for a company outside Spain, whether as an employee, freelancer or business owner. The company must generally have been operating for at least one year, and your professional relationship must normally be at least three months old.

We review your contracts, company documents and employer letters to ensure they clearly support your application.

02

Your income and professional background must qualify

The main applicant must demonstrate income equivalent to at least 200% of the current Spanish minimum wage. The required amount increases when a spouse, partner, child or other eligible family member joins the application.

As this figure changes with the Spanish minimum wage, we confirm the amount that applies when your case is assessed.

You must also hold a university degree, recognised professional training or have at least three years of experience related to your work.

03

Your personal documents must be ready for the application

You will need a valid passport, criminal record certificate and suitable health coverage, together with the documents supporting your professional activity and income.

Documents issued abroad may need a sworn translation, apostille or legalisation. We identify these requirements early so they can be prepared in the right order.

Planning the applying

Applying for the Digital Nomad Visa with your family

Your spouse or partner, dependent children and certain dependent relatives may be included in the application when they meet the corresponding conditions.

A family application requires additional income and documents proving each relationship. The information provided across every application must also remain consistent.

We calculate the financial requirement for the whole family and prepare the files together so that your work, income and relocation plans are presented clearly.

Why us

Why apply with Advisors Costa Blanca?

A visa application affects your plans to live in Spain, so it requires more than a standard checklist. We assess your situation, prepare the application for the correct consular route and help you avoid problems before submission.

01

We identify the right visa for your plans

Before you begin gathering documents, we review your circumstances and confirm which residence route best fits your plans. If another type of visa is more appropriate, we will let you know.

02

We prepare and review your application carefully

Your requirements are adapted to your country of residence and the consulate handling your application. We review the documents in advance and flag missing, inconsistent or unsuitable evidence while there is still time to correct it.

03

You receive clear support from the same team

Your consultation and application can be handled entirely in English, without having to explain your situation to a different person each time. Before we begin, you will also know what the service includes and how much it will cost.

We can help you

Your application is handled by people who understand the process

Advisors Costa Blanca is led by Yannelsis Soto Peña, a gestora administrativa with a specialisation in immigration from the Universidad Católica de Valencia.

Yannelsis moved from the Dominican Republic to Spain at fifteen and later went through the residency process herself. That experience led her to specialise in helping other foreigners understand the system and prepare their applications properly.

She has managed Advisors Costa Blanca since 2019. Together with her team, she helps international clients organise the documents and administrative procedures needed to live and work in Spain.

Your consultation and application can be handled in English, either remotely or at our office.

We can help you

Apply from Spain or through a Spanish consulate

There are two possible application routes. The right one depends on where you are, your legal status at the time of application and how you want to organise your move.

Apply from Spain: You may be able to submit the residence application electronically while you are legally in Spain. This route can lead to an initial authorisation of up to three years.

Apply through a Spanish consulate: You can apply through the Spanish consulate responsible for your country or area of legal residence before moving.
The initial visa can be valid for up to one year, and the documents and appointment process depend on the consulate handling the case.

We assess both routes and explain which one fits your circumstances before preparing the application.
